This is a very popular project in my techniques workshops.  The original is painted on Silk Satin fabric  but Crepe de Chine would also be beautiful and appropriate.  The vest comes in two sizes:  #163A (Medium) and 163B (Large to Ex. Large.)  Please specify which size you prefer when you order.

I made this into a wall hanging for the Christmas holidays. I used Bronze metallic resist to give the effect of a stained glass painting.  It would make a pretty pillow or a framed painting.

Difficulty:  Beginning

This is a perfect pattern for the beginner to paint as their first large scarf.  The border goes all along all sides of the scarf.  Try substituting light pastels for the dark colors.  Salting the border would also be pretty.

I used Silver, Copper and Bronze resists on this piece.  It is really fun to paint and a must for the Southwest enthusiast.

I used metallic resist on Santa’s glasses.  Try a multi-green  background for a more traditional look.
